Faced with budget limitations for traditional documentary financing, filmmaker Sean Cisterna taps into a government funding subsidy aimed at keeping senior citizens active. He visits various retirement homes to recruit a spirited, largely inexperienced cast and crew of older adults—many of whom do not even like or watch horror movies.
